A confident group again took home ice and worked hard through an exciting first period with many quality plays and scoring chances at both end. The team fed off Fire Breather Will’s grit and determination, and the fine play of Ethan (Face) and continued to minimize the Breakers. As a result, Wells’ scrappy goal late in the third proved to be the difference and the Flames take an impressive 5 – 4 win to cap the successful weekend.

Minuteman Flames @ NE Jr.Falcons Sun Jan 29th |
|
|
Weary road warriors kept the score even through the first, but sloppy passing and non aggressive penalties were not much of a match for the hungry Falcons. Drew and Dom ferociously killed off a 5 – 3, but this was not enough to spark the Flames. Scoring chances were doused and the boys were humbled with the 3 -1 defeat.

Jameson’s plus 4 rating for the game, and Farley’s two strikes combined with solid D led by Ethan and Griffin, carried the squad thru the finish and the 6-1 victory.

Sloppy passing late in the period led to some Star’s chances , but Noah stood tall. MikeFire Breather Wells and his mates dominated the middle frame, and a nice power play strike made it 3-0. In the third, weak puck support and turnovers created more opposition chances, and the team had to fight to the end to secure the 3-2 victory.
